disgnostic rtiadulen which recoTids Intormation
about the air bag system. The module records
Inlormation about the readiness of the system, when
the system commands air bag Inflation and
driver's safety belt usage al deployment. The
modute also records speed^ ertgine rpm, brake and
throttle data.
» Let only qualified technicians work on your air bag
system. Improper service can mean that your air
bag system won't work properly. Sgo your dealer (or
service.
Notice: If you damage the covering for the driver's
cr the right front passenger's afr bag. the bag
may nt)t work properly. You may have to replace the
aif bag
modola in the steering wheel or both tha
air bag module and the Instrument parrel for
the right front passenger's air bag. Do not open or
break the air bag coverings^
Air Bag Off Switch
If Ihg GVWR (Gross Vehicle Weight Rating) ol your
vehicte is e&DO or above, your vehicle has an air bag off
switch. You can hnd the GVWR on the cedification/tire
label on the rear edge of the driver's door. See Loacfing

You can use the air bag off switch on the insbument
panel to turn off the right front passenger's air bag.
