Don't let the other end touch anything unlit [hq nexi
step. Tha other end of Ihe negative [-) cable
(Joesni go to Ihe dead battery. It goes to
a heavy,
unpainted metal engine part or to a remole
negative [=) lemifnal on the vehicle with the dead
battery.
Connect Ihe other end of thg negative [-) cable Ig
the negfllive {-} lerminal of the dead battery or
to a remote negative (—) tarmnnal if the vehicle
has one.
Now start Ihe vehicle with the good batlery and rein
Ihe engine for e while.
Try to start the vehicle wilh Ihe dead battery. If it
won't start after a law Inss. It probably needs
service
notice: Damage to yOur vehicle may result from
electrical shorting if jumper cables are removed
incorrectly. To preveni electrical shorting, take care
ihst Ihe cables don't touch each other or any
other metal. The repairs wouldn't be covered by
your warranty.
