repairs not covered by your warranty. This may
also result Ih a failure to pass a required Emission
Inspection/liflamteFiance test-
rhis N^ht should come on, as a check to show you it is
working, when the ignition Is on end the engine is
not running If The light doesn't come on, have il
repaired. This light will also cerne on during a
malfuncliDh in one nf two way^:
* Light Flashing — A imisfire condition has been
deiecied A mlstire Increases vehicle emissions
and may damage the emiaaion conlrol syatem en
your vehicle. Dealer or qualified service contar
diagnosis and service may he required,
• Light On Steady — An emissfon control sysiem
mallunctlon haa been delected on ycur vehicle.
Poalor or quelrfisd eervioe center diagnosis
and service may he required.
The following may prevent mare serious damage to
your vehicle;
• Reducing vohicJe speed.
• Avoiding hard acceferauons.
• Avoiding steep uphill grades,
• It you are lowing a trailer, reduce the amount of
cargo being hauled aa soon as H is possible.
fl The light slops flashing and remains on sleady, see If
the LighI Is On Steady" following.
fl the light continues to flash, when it Is sale lo do so,
sicp vffhfde. Find a sale placo to park your vehicle.
Turn the key ottf wait at feast 10 seconds and restart
fhe engine. H the light remains or> steady, soo "if
the Ught Is On Steedy" fallowing. If the light is still
flashing, follow the previous steps, and drive the vehicla
to your dealer or qualified service center for Service.
