Defogging and Defrosting
Fog on tha inside oi endows is a resLill oi h^gh humidity
(moisture} condensing on the cool window glass. This
can be minimfiod if (he climaie control system is
used properly^
Turn the knob on the right oi the cHitiale controt pgngl
to select ihe defog or defrost mode.
(Blend); Wilh this setting, the outside air comas out
of both tha floor and del rosier outlets. Adjust the
temperature Knob for warnier or cooler air. The air
condFtioning compressor may operate irt this setting to
dahumidilY the air
(Defrost): This setting operates the defrosler. Most
of (he air comes out near the windshield, with some
going to the fioor outlets and ttont side windows. The air
conditioning compressor may oparato in this setting to
dehumidify tha air
Thg blend setting rs useful for cold wsalher with a large
numbar of passengers or very humid conditions to
help keep the windshield clear. Use defrost to remove
fog or ice from the windshield quickly In eKtremely
cold conditions, The temperalura knob should be m the
red area and the fan control toward high
Do not drive the vehicle until all the wrndows are clean.
Rear Window Oefogger
Press this button to turn the rear window defogger on or
oH. Bo sure to clear as much snow irom (he window
as possible
The rear window defogger uses a warming grid to
remove fog or frost from the rear window end will only
work whan the Ignition is RUN.
The rear window defogger will turn oti several minutes
aller Ihe bulton is pressed. If turned on again, the
defogger will run for several more minutas belore turning
off. The defogger can also be lumed off by pressing
the hiitfen again or by fuming oil the engine.
Don't use a razor bfade or somelhing else
sharp on the inside of the reaf window, ft you
do, you could cut or damage the defogger and the
repairs would not be covered by your warranty«
Do not attach a temporary vs hide license, tape, a
decal or anything sirrrtlar to Ihe defogger grid.
