WhEH cleaning ths tape player With the
necommended non-abrasive cleaning cassette, ills

a broken tape, in errar. To prevent the cleaning
cassetie frorr being ejected, use the tcHowing steps;
1. Turn Ihe ignilion on.
2. Turn Iha radio off.
3. Press and hold the TAPE P[SC button for five
seconds. READY will appear on the display and
the cassette symbol will flash lor five seconds,
4. Insert fhe scrubbing aclion cleaning casselfe,
5- Eject the gleaning casselfe atfer the manufacturer’s
recommended cleaning lime.
When the cleaning cassette has been ejected, the cut
(ape detection feature is active again.
You may also choose a non-scrubbir^g aclton, wet-type
cleaner which uses a cassette with a fabric belt to
clean the tape head. This type ol cEeartIhg casselte will
not eject on its own, A non-scrutibing action cleaner
may not dean as thoroughly as lha scmhbing type
cleaner. The use of a non-scrubbing aclion, dry-type
cleaning cassatle
\s not recommended.
Alter you clean the player, press and hold Iho eject
button for live seconds lo reset the GLEAM indicator.
The radio will display — or CLEANED to show Ihe
indioator was reseL
Cassedes are subjecl to vrear and the sound quality
may degrade over lime. Always make sure the cassetle
tape is
