Windshield Wiper Blade
Replacement
Windshield wiper blades shauEd be inspected at least
twjce a year for wear and tracking See '"Wiper
Blade Chech" in bea-i/
Twice a Yesr on page 6 - 1 1 for
more intonnetrdn.
Peplacement blades comg in different types and are
removed in diiiereni ways. To remouo the iype wltti a
release dip, do the following:
1. Lifi the wiper arm untJ IL locks into a vertical
position

Press down on the blade assembly pivot locking
tab. P p II down on the blade assembly lo release it
from the wiper arm hook.
The insert has iwo nolches al one end that are
locked by bottorTT claws of the blada assembly.
At the* notched end, pull the insert trem ihe blade
assembly.
4. To Install the new wiper insert, slide the nolched
ertd lasit, into the erid with two blade claws Then
slide the Insert all the way through the blade claws
al the opposite end.
5. Make sure thaï the notches are locked by Ihe
holtom daws. Make Sure that all other daws
are properly locked on both sides ot the insert slot
6. Put the blade assembly pivot In Ihe wiper arm hook.
Pull it up until the pivot locking lab locks in Ihe
hook slot.
7. Carefully lower the wiper arm and blade assembly
into Ihe windshield.
