6. Place Ihe jack under tho vehicEe, ahead oí the rear
bumpar. Position the center lift point bf the jack
under the center ol the spare tire and turn the
handle clockwise to raise the jack until it lifts tho
secóndary latch spring.
7. Keep raising ihe jack until the spare tire stops
moving upward and Is held Firmly In place, this
lets you know that the secundary latch has
released. Thu secondary latch has released and
the spare tire Is balartdng un ihe jack,
6. Lower Ihe jack by turning The ratcftet
counterclockwise. Keep lowering thg jack unlil the
spare tine slides nt1 tha jack or Is hanging by
!he cabfe,
9. Disconnect the jack handle from the jack and
caretudy remove thu jack- Use one hand to
push against the spare while iirtniy putling the
jack out from under the spare tire with the
other hand.
If me spare tire

hanging from the cablen slide the
ratchet unto the wheel wrench end insert the
wheel wrench Into ihe hoist shaft hole atMve the
bumper and him the wheel wreitoh DounterclucKwise
to lower the spare the resl ol the way. Be sure
the DOWN mart! on the ratchet Is facing you.
10. Tilt the retainer at the end ot the cabfe and pull it
through the wheel opening. PuN the tire cut from
under the vehicle.
11, If The cable is hanging under the vehicle. Ujrn the
wheel wrench in the hoist shaft hole in the bumper
clockwise to raise Ihe cablu back up.
Have Ihe hoist assembly inspected as soon as you ten.
