Voltmeter Gage
When your engine is not
running, but lt»& ignition is
on {In Eh0 RUN position),
this gage sho^s your
battery's state

DC \rtilts.
When the engine is running, the gage shows Ihe
condition ot the charging system, Readings between (he
Jaw and high warning ¿ones indicate the normai
Operating range.
Readings in the low warning /one may occur when a
large number of elecirical accessories are operalrTg ¡r
the vehicle and the engine is left at an tdle tor an
exiended period. This condition is normaJ since the
charging system is not able to provide lull power
at engine Idle. As engine speeds are increased, this
condition should correct itseJt as higher engine speeds
allow the charging system to creale maximunn power.
You can only drive for a short bme with the reading
in either warning zone. It you must drivo, turn off
all unnecessary accessories.
Readings in eilher warning zone indicate a possible
problem in the electrical system, Have the vehicle
serviced as soon as possible.
