2.2.3 Pneumatic connections
The pneumatic connections (G1/4) are located on the right-hand side of
the positioner (Fig. 2-3).
Outlet air E with silencer on the underside of the instrument

Pneumatic connection
Two pneumatic connections for the integrated installation of single–ac-
ting linear actuators are located on the rear of the positioner:

Air outlet E
These connections are locked with screws when supplied (see Fig. 3-2
and Fig. 3-4).
Outlet air E is used to ensure a flow of dry instrument air through the
pick–off area and the spring chamber to prevent corrosion.
Fig. 2-4 shows pneumatic connection options for various types of ac-
tuators with the positioning action and the safety position after auxiliary
power failure.
