4.1.10 28928–28934: SIP 600 Messages
600 class errors are fatal errors returned by the SIP gateway or fax service. The second number
listed is the equivalent standard SIP code. Error type: NON_RETRYABLE.
28928 600 Busy Everywhere. Error type: BUSY.
28931 603 Decline. Error type: NON_RETRYABLE.
28932 604 Does Not Exist Anywhere. Error type: NON_RETRYABLE.
28934 606 Not acceptable. Error type: NON_RETRYABLE.
4.1.11 29185–29311: Q.850 Cause Codes
These are error codes returned by the ISDN PRI circuit. For more information on Q.850 cause
codes, please see ITUT publication Q.850, all “Q.850 descriptions” provided below come from that
document. All cause codes originate from the TDM network and are passed through the gateway to
IPFax.
4.1.11.1 Normal Class
29185 Cause 1, Unallocated (unassigned) number: The TDM network could not connect
the call because the number is not in service. Error type: NON_RETRYABLE.
Q.850 description: This cause indicates that the called party cannot be reached because,
although the called party number is in a valid format, it is not currently allocated (assigned).
29186 Cause 2, No route to specified transit network: Q.850 description: This cause
indicates that the equipment sending this cause has received a request to route the call through
a particular transit network which it does not recognize. The equipment sending this cause does
not recognize the transit network either because the transit network does not exist or because
that particular transit network, while it does exist, does not serve the equipment which is
sending this cause. Error type: NON_RETRYABLE.
29187 Cause 3, No route to destination: The TDM network did not know how to route the
call. Error type: NON_RETRYABLE.
Q.850 description: This cause indicates that the called party cannot be reached because the
network through which the call has been routed does not serve the destination desired.
AudioCodes MediaPacks, Mediants, and TrunkPacks: These devices will return a “no route to
destination” if all available lines/channels are already in use. This can also occur if no routing
rule matches the requested call.
29188 Cause 4, Send special information tone: Q.850 description: This cause indicates
that the called party cannot be reached for reasons that are of a long term nature and that the
special information tone should be returned to the calling party. Error type: NON_RETRYABLE.
29189 Cause 5, Misdialed trunk prefix: Q.850 description: This cause indicates the
erroneous inclusion of a trunk prefix in the called party number. Error type: NON_RETRYABLE.
29190 Cause 6, Channel unacceptable: Q.850 description: This cause indicates that the
channel most recently identified is not acceptable to the sending entity for use in this call. Error
type: NON_RETRYABLE.
29191 Cause 7, Call awarded and being delivered in an established channel: Q.850
description: This cause indicates that the user has been awarded the incoming call, and that the
incoming call is being connected to a channel already established to that user for similar calls
(e.g. packetmode X.25 virtual calls). Error type: NON_RETRYABLE.
29192 Cause 8, Preemption: Q.850 description: This cause indicates that the call is being
preempted. Error type: NON_RETRYABLE.
29193 Cause 9, Preemption – circuit reserved for reuse: Q.850 description: This cause
indicates that the call is being preempted and the circuit is reserved for reuse by the preempting
