Writing to DVD R/RW disc is not successful.
The DVD drive firmware may have an effect:
• Writing errors may occur due to the DVD drive
firmware (a control program installed on the drive).
The firmware updater may be released on the PC or
drive manufacturers’ website. If your firmware is not
the latest one, then attempt to update it.
The media may have an effect:
• If the media and the DVD drive are incompatible, then
writing errors may occur. Check the operating
instructions for the PC or the DVD drive and use
media recommended by the manufacturers.
Depending on media used, media sometimes cannot
be played even if writing to the media has been
completed normally. After writing, be sure to check
that the media plays normally.
For effects of Windows
®
XP’s CD writing function:
• Disable the CD writing function supported by
Windows
®
XP as standard.
∫ If errors still occur:
Select [HDD image output] in the DVD R/RW output
mode (
) to save the disc image onto the hard disk.
Then, write the disc image ([VIDEO_TS] folder) onto a
DVD R/RW disc using the other manufacturers’ DVD
writing software in DVD-Video format.
For details, refer to the operating instructions for the
DVD playback application.
