File output mode
• When [MPEG2 format selection (re-encoding)] or
[ASF format (WindowsMedia compatible)] is
selected, video quality can also be selected.
[High Resolution]
The image quality is higher to that of [Standard],
and the file size is larger. The original image quality
will be maintained but will not be enhanced.
[Standard]
This option provides standard image quality. It
makes the file size smaller than that of [High
Resolution].
[High Compression]
This option provides image quality inferior to
[Standard], but makes the file size smaller than that
of [Standard].
D. When [MPEG2 format selection (re-encoding)] is
selected as the output format (C), the screen aspect
ratio can be set.
• When the aspect ratio is different from the original
data, a black area is displayed above and below
and to the right and left of the image. (
[4:3]
Output at a 4:3 aspect ratio.
[16:9 (Use with MotionSD STUDIO)]
Output at the wide 16:9 aspect ratio.
• The output file is in a format supported by
MotionSD STUDIO.
The file may not be displayed correctly with other
editing software or players that support the MPEG2
wide display.
[16:9 (Use with other software)]
Output at the wide 16:9 aspect ratio.
• The output file is in a format supported by other
MPEG2 wide display compatible editing software or
players.
The output file cannot be used with MotionSD
STUDIO.
E. When [MPEG2 format selection (re-encoding)] is
selected as the output format (C), the output speed
can be set.
[Fast]
Faster than [Normal] output.
However, depending on the output data, the quality
of the video may be affected.
[Normal]
Standard output speed.
Video quality is higher than for [Fast] output.
F. Starts file output.
G.Displays the detailed information of the file to be
output.
• When still images being output have a long
duration, the accuracy of the estimated file size
may be degraded.
H. Exits the File output mode.
I. Displays whether or not file output is currently ready,
and other information. [Please select the input file(s)]
or another message is displayed as an operating
guide.

of that format is displayed.
