Description
Property
The type of connection over which the SVSP domain is recognized by the local
domain. Possible values:
•
Local—The SVSP domain is the local domain (the domain to which you are
currently connected for management).
•
FC—All VSM servers in the SVSP domain are recognized over a Fibre Channel
connection by all VSM servers in the local domain.
•
iSCSI—All VSM servers in the SVSP domain are recognized over an iSCSI
connection by all VSM servers in the local domain.
•
Mixed—VSM servers in the SVSP domain are recognized by VSM servers in
the local domain over both FC and iSCSI connections.
Connection Type
A free text display field. To modify the text that appears here, right-click the domain
entity and select Manage > Edit Comment.
Comment
The VSM user who created the domain entity on the local domain. This field always
displays “system,” since the VSM server creates a domain entity when the domain
is exposed to another domain.
Created By
The name of the user who last modified the domain entity. The only modification
supported is the editing of the comment.
Modified By
The time at which the domain entity was created by the VSM server to which you
are connected.
Creation Time
The time at which the domain entity was last modified.

Viewing SVSP domain information
You can display detailed information about any listed SVSP domain entity in the tabs area below the
SVSP domains list.
To view information related to a domain:
In the domains list, select a domain. The following tabs are displayed:
•
Properties—Provides the general information about the selected domain described in
•
VSM—Displays the VSM servers that belong to the domain.
•
Security—Shows which permissions are assigned to users and user groups for managing the do-
main.
•
Disabled Operations—Shows which operations you cannot currently perform on the domain and
the reason for each. See the release notes for a current list of disabled operations.
•
Summary—Provides an at-a-glance view of the scale of the SAN environment managed in the
domain. This tab is displayed only when the local domain is selected.
•
Remote Pool—Displays the storage pools of the remote domain. This tab is not displayed when
the local domain is selected.
