About this guide
This guide describes how to use the Virtualization Services Manager (VSM) client graphical user
interface to manage a storage area network (SAN) in which VSM distributed software components
have already been installed. This guide includes the use of VSM to allocate storage to servers and
the use of VSM services snapshot, snapclone, migration, and mirror.
Intended audience
This guide is intended for system administrators with knowledge of:
• HP StorageWorks Enterprise Virtual Arrays (EVA3000/5000 or EVA4x00/6x00/8x00)
• HP StorageWorks Command View EVA
• Storage area networks
• TCP/IP networking
