The monitoring status of a copy group
BCM Monitor can monitor one copy group at a time. In the CGMONSTAT parameter of the YKMONCG
file, if you specify ACTIVE for two or more copy groups, the copy group for which ACTIVE is
specified first will be monitored. If the monitoring status of the currently monitored copy group
changes to INACTIVE, the next copy group for which ACTIVE is specified will be monitored.
After BCM Monitor starts, the monitoring status specified in the CGMONSTAT parameter is changed
in the cases shown below. You can check the changed monitoring status by using the MODIFY
DISPLAY
command.
•
When changing the monitoring status from ACTIVE to INACTIVE by executing the MODIFY
SET
command with MONITOR=STOP specified
•
When changing the monitoring status from INACTIVE to ACTIVE by executing the MODIFY
SET
command with MONITOR=START specified
•
When the monitoring status is changed from ACTIVE to INACTIVE by a startup action, an
action, or an error action
Putting BCM Monitor to sleep
You can put BCM Monitor to sleep by executing the MODIFY SLEEP command or by performing
a PAUSE action. This status is cleared when the specified sleep duration has elapsed, or when
BCM Monitor accepts the MODIFY WAKEUP command.
Stop point
You can specify a label name for an action in order to stop or put BCM Monitor to sleep at a
particular point. In
“Example of BCM Monitor parameter files” (page 609)
, if you input the MODIFY
STOP
command with LABEL1 specified while BCM Monitor is processing an action before where
the ACTION=STOPPOINT(LABEL1) at (2) is located, BCM Monitor will stop after all the actions
up to that point have finished. If BCM Monitor is processing an action after where
ACTION=STOPPOINT(LABEL1)
is specified, BCM Monitor will not stop during that cycle. BCM
Monitor will stop when the process reaches ACTION=STOPPOINT(LABEL1) in subsequent cycles.
