Select waveform update mode
Background The display update mode is
switched automatically or
manually according to timebase
and trigger. The indicator on the
bottom left of the display shows
the current mode.
Main mode Updates the whole displayed waveform at
once. Automatically selected when the
timebase (sampling rate) is fast.
Timebase ≤50ms/div (≥500Sa/s)
Trigger all modes
Scan mode Updates the waveform gradually from the
left side of the display to the right. The
waveform position is fixed. Automatically
selected when the timebase (sampling
rate) is slow.
Timebase ≥100ms/div (≤250Sa/s)

Note  When the update mode switches from Main to
Scan, GDS-2000 automatically selects the Auto
trigger mode. See page106 for trigger details.
 To view the signal peak clearly in Scan mode,
turn on the Peak detection (page85).
