Symptom Solutions Possible Cause
Not receiving data. H The network or data port
cables are not
connected (check front
panel LEDs for more
information).
H A test is being executed
on the unit (check the
TEST LED on the front
panel).
H Check network and data port
cables.
H Run Loopback tests. Refer to
Chapter 7,
Testing .
H Stop the test or wait for the test
to end.
H The data port is not
assigned to the network.
H The far-end device is
off-line.
H Check the Cross Connect Status
screen. If the data port is not
assigned to any network
timeslots, use the Cross Connect
Assignment screen (under the
Config menu) to connect the port
to the network.
H Make sure the far-end device is
on.
Power-Up Self-Test
fails. Only Fail LED
is on after
power-up. The DSU/CSU has
detected an internal
hardware failure. H Select ClrStats from the status
menu
H Contact your service
representative.
