When the O1+ and O1- pins are connected to each other, the interface is closed and desig-
nated by a logical 1; when the O1+ and O1- pin are NOT connected, the interface is open
and designated by a logical 0. This also applies to O2+ and O2- pins on the second digital
output port (see Figure 6.8).

Digital Inputs
The digital inputs are multi-function inputs that provide the ability to read the following:
˽ Low-level AC input
˽ DC input
˽ Contact closure input
To configure the digital inputs, use switches 1–5 of DIP switches 1 and 2 on the side panel.
Switch 1 is used to configure digital input 1 and switch 2 is used to configure digital input
2. The left-side panel gives a shorthand description of the function of each of these switches
(see Table 6.2 and Table 6.3).
