Using the DIP Switches
The DIP switches on the side of the module allow you to quickly and easily put the Click 500
in program mode or run mode (see Figure 6.7).

Program Mode/Run Mode
The Click 500 will need to be in program mode whenever you are developing an applica-
tion. To do so, make sure that the 6th switch of DIP switch 1 on the side panel is in the ON
position.
When you are done developing an application and want to deliver a device to the end user,
you will need the device to be in run mode. By putting the sixth switch of DIP switch 1 on
the side panel into the OFF position, the device will be in run mode and cannot be pro-
grammed (unless the switch is turned back on).
