8.7.2 Steps to set Router Mode Point-toPoint Operation for the CDM-IP
Modems
Do these steps for each of the Satellite Modems, CDM-IP 1 and CDM-IP 2. Step 10 requires a different
value for each modem.
1. From the CLI Main Menu, type A to go to the Administration submenu.
2. From the Administration submenu, type C to select CDM-IP Working Mode.
3. Type 1 to select Router Mode – Point-to-Point.
4. Type y to confirm when prompted:
Changing Modem working mode requires system Reboot.
Do you want to continue(Y/N)[Enter :No]
5. Wait for the CDM-IP to reboot.
8.7.3 Steps to set Router Mode Point-to-Point Operation for the
CDD-564A/L Demodulator
Do these steps for CDD-564A/L Satellite Demodulator:
1. From the CLI Main Menu, type A to go to the Administration submenu.
2. From the Administration submenu, type C to select Working Mode.
3. Type y to confirm when prompted:
Changing working mode requires system Reboot.
Do you want to continue(Y/N)[Enter :No]
4. Type 1 to select Router Mode – Point-to-Point.
5. Wait for the CDD-564A/L to reboot.
6. From the CLI Main Menu, type I to go to the Interface Configuration submenu.
8.7.4 Steps to set the IP Address(es)
1. From the CLI Main Menu, type I to go to the Network Interface Configuration submenu.
2. From the Interface Configuration menu, type E to go to the Ethernet Interface submenu.
3. Type I to select Ethernet IP Addresses.
4. Set the addresses as shown:
CDM-IP 1 to 172.16.10.1
CDD-564A/L to 172.16.10.11
CDM-IP 2 to 172.17.10.1
5. Type M to select Ethernet Subnet MaskSubnet Prefix Length.
a. Set the length to 24.
