8.7 Router Mode – Point-to-Point System Configuration
This section tells you how to set up a Router Mode Point-to-Point System Configuration. All steps in this
section refer to Figure 8-2.

8.7.1 Steps for PC Configuration
1. Set the IP address on PC 1 to 172.16.10.11
2. Set the Mask to 255.255.255.0
3. Set the PC Gateway to 172.16.10.1
4. Set the IP address on PC 2 to 172.17.10.11
5. Set the Mask to 255.255.255.0
6. Set the PC Gateway to 172.17.10.1
7. If necessary, reboot the PCs.
