(See Figure 3-6 and Figure 3-10 to identify all of the assembly items used with this procedure)
Step Task
1 Place the ODMR-PS Unistrut (Item 1 from CEFD Kit KT-0020530) on a flat surface. (The
remainder of this procedure uses the components provided in CEFD Kit PL/12319-1.)
2 Slide two Spring Nuts (Item 1) into the Unistrut channel. Make sure that the springs face the
inner wall of the channel.
3 For each Spring Nut, use one each of the M8 Hex Bolt (Item 3), Flat Washer (Item 4), and
Lock Washer (Item 5) to loosely assemble a Pipe Block (Item 2) to the installed Spring Nut.
Do not tighten the bolts at this time.
4 Position the semi-assembled Unistrut and Pipe Blocks against the satellite antenna support
pole and then slide the Pipe Blocks until they contact either side of the support pole. Be sure
to center the Pipe Blocks within the Unistrut, and then tighten the mounting hardware.
5 Slide the Floating Strap Bracket (Item 6) into the Unistrut channel. Make sure that the
bracket studs face outward.
6 Use the Floating Strap Bracket with two each of the M8 Flat Washers, Lock Washers, and
Hex Nuts (Item 8) to secure the Pipe Strap (Item 7).
7 a) Hold the kit subassembly in place against the support pole and slide the Fixed Strap
Bracket (Item 9) into the Unistrut channel until it abuts the adjacent Pipe Block.
b) Wrap the Pipe Strap around the support pole, and then fit the strap onto the Fixed Strap
Bracket studs as snugly as possible. Score or otherwise mark a trim line on the Pipe
Strap, and then use the tin snips to trim the Pipe Strap as needed.
8 a) Remove the Fixed Strap Bracket from the Unistrut channel, and assemble the Strap
Tensioner Bolt (Item 10) to the Fixed Strap Bracket (the bolt head will abut the inner
wall of the channel upon assembly).
b) Slide this subassembly back into the Unistrut channel until it abuts the adjacent Pipe
Block.
9 Use the Fixed Strap Bracket with two each of the M8 Hex Nuts, Flat Washers, and Lock
Washers to secure the Pipe Strap.
10 Use the Strap Tensioner Bolt with one each of the M8 Flat Washer, Lock Washer, and Hex
Nut to secure the Fixed Strap Bracket in place. Tighten as needed. Figure 3-5 shows
correctly installed Pole Mounting Kit assemblies. A properly trimmed Pipe Strap is shown in
the side view.
11 As shown in Figure 3-11 – The ODMR-840 is connected to the ODMR-PS
Power Supply with a 6’ long power cable (CEFD P/N CA-0020592). Be sure that
this kit is installed onto the antenna support pole close enough to properly
connect this cable between the chassis and the power supply.
Proceed to Sect. 3.3.3.2 to install the ODMR-PS Power Supply.
