3.3 ODM/R-840 Standalone Installation
3.3.1 Overview

Figure 3‐1 shows an example of a temporary ODM‐840 Unistrut field installation setup. Use of
Unistrut P3300‐series channels in all configurations permits the user to mount the unit with
CEFD kit‐provided hardware. For assembly onto a satellite antenna support pole, use the
designated CEFD Pole Mounting Kit.
The Unistrut segment(s) provided in a specific CEFD ODM/R‐840 Unit Mounting
Kit is assembled to the support pole at this initial stage of assembly; the
remainder of that kit is then installed when the unit itself is mounted to the
support pole.
Figure 3‐2 and Figure 3‐3 and the subsections that follow show the installation of the kits
required for standalone installation and operation:
• Pole Mounting Kits:
o KT‐0000262 Pole Mounting Kit – Assemble this kit to the satellite antenna support
pole, and then install either the ODM‐840 or ODMR‐840 chassis kit KT‐0000227
Unistruts.
