2.3 ODM/R-840 Fusing, Grounding, and Power Connections
2.3.1 Chassis Fuses
Fuses are not user serviceable for either the ODM/R-840 or ODMR-PS:
• The ODM-840 and ODMR-840 models both use fuses with the installed heater (Extended
Temperature) options.
• The ODM-840 additionally features solid state fuses for main input power and for BUC power.
• The off-the-shelf power supply used in the ODMR-PS is fused by the manufacturer.
2.3.2 Chassis Ground Interface
PROPER GROUNDING PROTECTION IS REQUIRED. The equipment must be connected
to the protective earth connection at all times. It is therefore imperative that the unit
is properly grounded, using the ground stud provided on the unit rear panel, during
installation, configuration, and operation.
