4.8.3 Cleaning and General Maintenance
The following maintenance should be performed on the Wash Select II every three months:
1.
Remove the coin hopper from the unit.
2.
Remove all coins from the hopper.
3.
Use a damp rag to clean any metal dust that may have accumulated on the exit
ramp.
4.
Remove the two side screws that hold the bottom support bracket and pull the
main hopper cube from the hopper assembly.
5.
Use a Q-Tip or Iso-swab to clean the coin exit slot.
6.
Remove the top part of the hopper by sliding the red lever on the side of the
hopper downward. Slide the top part of the hopper upward to remove it.
7.
Remove the hopper wheel and clean it with a damp rag.
8.
Clean the inside of the hopper with a damp rag.
9.
Reverse these steps to replace the hopper. Be sure you do not pinch the cable
when returning the hopper into the Wash Select II case.
4.8.4 System Settings Affecting Coin Hopper Operations
The following Wash Select II system settings will have an effect on how the Coin Hopper and
Assembly operate.

Effect
Dispense Mode
This will affect when a customer may receive
change from the Wash Select II.
Dispense Value
This setting will configure the unit to know the
monetary value of each coin dispensed.
Dump Coins
In the diagnostic mode, this setting can be used to
dispense a specific number of coins for test.
Coins Present
Diagnostic function that detects the presence of
coins in the hopper.
Exact Change Only
The Wash Select II will immediately go into an
exact change only mode if it ever attempts to
dispense change unsuccessfully. To clear this
mode, turn the unit power off then on again. It will
clear the next time it successfully dispenses
change.
4.9 Card Reader
The card reader may be used with the Credit option or just for fleet cards and pass cards.
