3. The notched end of the chip goes up. There is a silk-screened image on the CPU
board you can use to line up the notch correctly. This image is labeled EPROM.
4. Push the EPROM chip in gently. Do not force it, as you may cause damage to the
chip or the CPU board.
5. Press the Reset System Memory button. Once the button is pressed, the system
will ask if you’d like to clear all memory or keep accounts. Press 1 to reset all
memory, or press 2 to reset all but the fleet accounts.
6. Replace the protective plastic cover over the CPU board.
4.3 Bill Validator
The standard Wash Select II comes equipped with the MARS bill validation unit to stack bills
up to $20 in value (NOTE: $20 bill acceptance is disabled at the time of shipment). To ensure
maximum performance by the unit, it will be necessary to read this Section in its entirety.
4.3.1 Mars Bill Validator
The Mars bill validator is provided as an optional choice of bill validator. This bill validator
does not support the VIP Wash Coupon feature.

The bill stacker will hold up to 1,000 bills and is designed to allow quick and easy removal of
stored money. To empty the bill stacker, hold the validator with one hand pushing the blue
lock at the top of the validator with one of your fingers. With your other hand, lift the stacker
upward to remove it.
