Installation of the program
The installation program copies the files from the installation
CD to the drive and directory you specify and creates the
following sub-directories:
Includes all files needed for the program pack-
age.
Contains the device drivers.
Default directory for Vesuv databases.
Includes templates:
. for Vesuv databases, e.g. for different devices
. for different report layouts
Default directory for data exported from the Ve-
suv database.
Default directory for device methods saved by
Vesuv.
Default directory for saved filters (*.flt) and export
settings (*.exp) of the database.
For printing you need the Internet Explorer 4.0 or higher. You
will find the Internet Explorer 4.0 on the installation CD to-
gether with Vesuv and you can install it.
The installation program automatically sets the receive buff-
ers of PC COM's to low (setting in windows system: ,
Settings, Control panel, System, Device manager, Ports, Ad-
vanced).
Some computers have a power save mode which switches
the CPU of the computer off after a certain time without key
stroke. This power save mode must be switched off.
For Windows NT
Log-in as user with administrator access to install the pro-
gram.
