Analytical devices
Problem
Remedy
Data are in the wrong device
window
If the devices are connected to the correct ports,
this is a hardware problem of your PC. Possible
remedies:
•
Switch on all devices (even if you don't need
them temporarily).
•
Use a Moxa or USB board to connect your de-
vices.
Garbled characters
On start of the datalogger
Check the handshake of the analytical device (you
may have software handshake there, whereas the
datalogger works with hardware handshake).
Garbled characters
•
Check the RS settings on your device and the
port parameter in the datalogger.
•
The analytical device has to send "IBM" charac-
ters (selection at the device in key
>peripheral units)
•
Don't send curves or reports which contain
curves from the analytical device.
•
Did you select the correct Device type in the
datalogger?
KF Coulometer: Missing
characters in raw reports
The KF Coulometer can't be connected to a Soft-
switch. Connect it directly to a PC COM or to a
Moxa or USB board resp.
Lock commands are not sent
to the device
•
The setting of the datalogger "Vesuv can send
data to device" has to be active ("Properties of
device window, Communication").
•
Remove the 6.2125.010 adapter from the RS
interface of your analytical device.
Method handling
(save/restore) is not possible
•
You can only save/restore methods for Titrinos,
756 KF Coulometer and 730 Sample Changer.
•
The setting of the datalogger "Vesuv can send
data to device" has to be active ("Properties of
device window, Communication").
•
Remove the 6.2125.010 adapter from the RS
interface of your analytical device.
