Database
Problem
Remedy
Curve is not represented
•
Do you have the quantities selected in the curve
in your data set? Check the quantities in the
curve: "Right mouse button in the curve window,
Properties, Data".
•
Do you have a measuring point list in your data
set? For curve representation you have to send
a measuring point list from your analytical de-
vice.
"Empty" data sets
•
You may have empty data sets, if your analytical
device works with software handshake and the
datalogger with hardware handshake.
No raw reports
•
Check in the datalogger if you stored the raw re-
ports from the corresponding analytical device:
"Device window, Properties, Reports".
•
Check in the database if all raw reports are dis-
played: Select the raw report window, right
mouse button and select "Properties".
No results in the determina-
tions table
•
Your raw report contains results which are not
displayed in the determinations table.
Make sure that the analytical device sends a
"calc" report to Vesuv.
Re-evaluation is not possible
or difficult
•
Graphical re-evaluation is only possible for DET
and MET modes.
•
If you have problems with the parallel evaluation,
switching on or off of the setting "Curve, Proper-
ties, Data, Smooth" may help.
You may also vary the Smoothing factors X and
Y, see page 82.
Slow
•
Compress your database from time to time.
•
Close all the windows which you don't need:
Statistics, Endpoints, Variables+Formulas etc.
•
Reduce the number of visible columns in the
determinations table (menu item "View, Proper-
ties").
•
Add enough RAM:
At least 64 MB.
