Filter
Menu item "Data, Filter" or right mouse button, "Filter" with
selected determinations table
The determinations table shows only those data sets which
meet the filter criteria. An active filter is indicated in the status
bar of the database.
Quick filter
1.
Click with the right mouse button on a field, which con-
tains the value for filtering.
2.
Select "Filter".
3.
Only those data sets will be displayed which contain this
value.
Examples:
Filter data sets with method name "Chloride".
Filter data sets of user "Boss".
Edit filter
1.
Select menu item "Data, Filter" and press button "Edit".
2.
The window "Edit filter" appears:
Column
Select the column for filtering.
Filter
Select the filter criteria. Filter criteria depend on
the data type of the selected column.
Special filters:
<>
: unequal
empty
: The field is empty
not empty
: The field is not empty
Special filters for strings:
like
: With this filter criteria you may use stand-in
characters in a string.
? any character (one)
* no or several characters
# any number (one)
[string list] one character out of the string list,
e.g. [A-Za-z] means all capitals and minus-
cules
[!string list] one character which is not given in
the string list
Special filters for data/time:
last X days
: Filters data sets with dates between
the current date and the date which is X days
back.
