This section describes the typographic conventions used in this
guide.
Note
The command line interface (CLI) portion of the FORMULA 8200 is not
case sensitive; however, this manual shows commands in uppercase
letters. You may type your commands in either uppercase or
lowercase, as shown in some of the examples.
Example Meaning
Local IP configuration :
The ATM/CONFIG/CREATE command is used
to create an ATM service.
Enter CREATE/PTOP .
Press [Enter] to execute a command.
System prompts and messages are shown in
COURIER font.
Commands or other input the user must supply are
shown in
BOLDFACE capital letters.
Text in angle brackets after a command indicates user-
defined input must follow the command.
For example, in place of
, you type 2 .
Keys named in text are shown enclosed in square
brackets. ([Enter] is used to denote either the
Enter
or the Return key)
When directed to enter a command, this guide implies
that you type the required text and then press
[ENTER].
