Maximum time interval a query can be in the holding state before
the query automatically times out. Default from WMS system
configuration. R2.4 feature. Hidden for R2.3 systems.

Indicates if the WMS server processes should temporarily store the
SQL Plan.
SQL Plan (True/False)
Indicates if the WMS server processes should temporarily store the
SQL Text.

Optional, free-form text you can enter to describe the service.
Comments (max. 256 characters)
List of all available rules per rule type (connection, compilation, or
execution) with the current set of associated rules indicated by the
checkboxes. These checkboxes also allow you to change (add or
remove) rule associations to a server. See

Use the SQL Defaults field to set process priorities at the service
level for the SQL processes involved in query execution. Any WMS
administrator can use this field. Specify one or more SQL
commands. Use semicolons to separate the commands, and end
the last command with a semicolon. The entire series of commands
must not exceed 1024 bytes.

After you have adjusted the attributes, click Alter to alter the service.
Delete a WMS Service
To delete a WMS service, on the Service Summary screen, you can delete a service using one
of these methods:

Select the services to delete in the data grid and click on Delete or the X icon on the toolbar.
•
Select the services to delete in the configuration tree and right click and select the Delete
menu. The Delete menu is disabled for system-created services, because they cannot be
deleted. For R2.4 and beyond, the service can be deleted only if the service is in a stopped
state.
When you select multiple services from the grid and select the Delete option, a dialog box will
popup to confirm the delete request: Choose Yes to continue with delete or No to cancel.
Start a WMS Service
To start a WMS service, on the Service Summary screen, select the services in the data grid and
click on [Start] or the right arrow icon on the toolbar. This will start the service. Only services
that are in a stopped state are started. You can also right click on a specific service in the
configuration tree and select the Start menu to start the service. The Start menu is enabled only
if the service is in a stopped state.
Stop a WMS Service
To stop a WMS service, on the Service Summary screen, select one or more services in the data
grid and click on [Stop] or the red square icon on the toolbar. System-created services
HP_DEFAULT_SERVICE, HPS_MANAGEABILITY, HPS_TRANSPORTER cannot be stopped.
A dialog box will popup to confirm the stop request: Choose [Yes] to continue with stop or [No]
to cancel.
When you stop a Neoview Workload Management Services (WMS) service in NPA Tools, you
can immediately stop all queries in the service by selecting the Stop Immediately check box:
