NOTE: You must connect to the Neoview data warehousing platform through the client driver

Start the Neoview Query Workbench
To start the Neoview Query Workbench, double-click the Neoview Query Workbench icon on
your desktop or select Start>All Programs>HP Neoview Performance Analysis Tools>Neoview
Query Workbench
.

Execute Queries
You use the following applications to execute SQL statements on the Neoview platform that
show in NPA Tools:
• HP Neoview Command Interface (NCI) product
• HP Database Manager (HPDM) SQL Whiteboard and Metric Miner. You can also open an
NCI window from HPDM.
• HP ODBC
• HP JDBC
• HP ADO.NET
You use NPA Tools to monitor and analyze the same statements. For information about
downloading and using any of these applications, go to the HP Software Depot at
www.software.hp.com .
NOTE: You are not required to use the same user name for connecting to the application and
NPA, however, you should log on to the same Neoview platform.
Exit Any Neoview Performance Analysis Tool
To exit any of the NPA Tools, close the window. NPA Tools will confirm that you want to exit.
Exiting the application securely disconnects all active sessions.
