character string. The reference point
on the text block varies with character
rotation. For 0 and 270 degree
rotation, the X and Y starting position
of the text block is in the upper left
corner of the block. For 90 and 180
degree rotation, the X and Y starting
position of the string is in the lower
left corner of the text block.
char
ASCII characters to be printed.
The following parameters are contained in
parentheses and are optional:
I
Specifies italic type (use only with font
type C).
G
Specifies gray scale mode, and is
followed immediately by the z
modifier. The z modifier specifies the
gray scale screen, and may be 0, 1, or
2, with 0 the lightest gray and 2 the
darkest. The default screen is 2. These
modifiers only work with font type C.
bold
Printed character boldness (width of
character strokes) in dots. Allowable
range is 1 (minimum stroke width) to
255 (maximum stroke width), with a
default value of 2. A boldness of 50 at
200 DPI pitch will give a line
thickness of 50/200, or 1/4". For font
types A and B, boldness specifies
thickness for all strokes. Font type C
only bolds horizontally.
