Names of Things and What They Do
PHONES jacks
Here you can connect headphones. The VIMA lets you
use two sets of headphones simultaneously (p. 28).
VOCAL jacks
Here you can connect microphones. The VIMA lets you
use two mics simultaneously, so two people can sing
together (p. 54).
DVD PLAYER INPUT
Here you can connect a DVD player or other video
device, and view the image on an external display or a
television connected to the VIMA or play back music (p.
70).
The volume of the device connected to the DVD PLAYER
INPUT jacks is adjusted with the DVD PLAYER INPUT
[VOLUME] knob.
MIDI IN/OUT connectors
You can connect these to external MIDI devices to
transfer performance data (p. 136).
External memory connector
You can connect USB memory or a digital camera here,
and view a slide show of the images it contains (p. 75).
You can also play back songs from USB memory (p.
42), or copy songs recorded by the VIMA onto USB
memory (p. 108).
CD drive
This drive lets you play CD-ROMs made for the VIMA
(VIMA TUNES), as well as commercially available music
CDs and CD-ROM discs containing SMF music files (p.
38).
Remote sensor
Point the remote control unit toward this sensor when you
operate it (p. 50).
