No sound
No sound
Could the VIMA’s volume or the volume of the connected equipment be turned
down?
Could headphones be connected?
Could there be a plug inserted in a headphone jack?
The speakers will not produce sound if headphones or plug are connected to
the headphone jacks.
Could the [BALANCE] knob be set all the way toward “KEYBOARD” or
“SONG”?
Are the speaker cables connected correctly?
Could the remote VOLUME [-] [+] buttons or the [MUTE] button be pressed to
set the volume to “0”?
Even if the [VOLUME] knob is raised, there will be no sound if the remote
VOLUME [-] [+] buttons or the [MUTE] button have been pressed to set the
volume to “0.”
No sound from the leftmost notes
of the keyboard
Could you be using these keys to switch the piano roll screen display?
If you’ve made settings so that the keyboard will switch the piano roll screen
display, the five leftmost notes of the keyboard will not produce sound.
If you’ve pressed the [DRUMS] button so that the keyboard plays drum sounds,
no sounds will be heard when you play the A0–B1 keys.
DVD volume is too low (or
inaudible)
Is the DVD player connected correctly?
Could the DVD PLAYER INPUT [VOLUME] knob be turned to the minimum
position?
The DVD player’s volume is adjusted with the DVD PLAYER INPUT [VOLUME]
knob; not by the [VOLUME] knob.
No sound (when a MIDI device is
connected)
Are all devices powered on?
Are the MIDI cables connected correctly?
Do the MIDI channels of the VIMA and the connected device match?
Moving your hand over the D
Beam controller does not produce
a sound
Could the D Beam button for the desired sound effect be lit instead of blinking?
If a D Beam button is lit, moving your hand above the D Beam controller will
apply an effect to the sound you play from the keyboard.
Not all the notes you play are
sounded
The maximum simultaneous polyphony is 128 notes. If you are playing along
with a song and making heavy use of the damper pedal, the number of notes
the VIMA is attempting to produce may exceed the maximum polyphony,
meaning that some of the notes will drop out.
