3. Press the <Tab> key to advance to the Description field. Enter the
location description (i.e., forward pick, staging, bulk storage, receiving)
in the Description field.
Implementing Cubing for a Location
Important: The cubing feature is an advanced feature of the WMS Work-
station application, which is available with the WMS-RF Professional ver-
sion only.
Cubing is available with the WMS-RF Professional version only. With the
cubing feature, IntelliTrack WMS-RF Professional will fully implement
space management; thus reducing the time spent moving material within
the warehouse. During an inventory move, receipt, replenishment, or put
away; IntelliTrack WMS-RF Professional ensures that the destination can
accommodate the item quantity. If the location destination is too small, you
are prompted to either over fill or find a new or empty location.
Location cubic space is implemented at the Locations form. When the cub-
ing feature is enabled in the System Options form/Features tab, a Cube
Size field appears after the Description field in the Locations form:
To implement location cubing when entering a new item:
1. After entering the Location ID and Location Description, press the
<Tab> key to advance to the location Cube Size field.
