8. Click the arrow to open the Resolution list and select an appropriate resolution for your
original(s). See “Selecting the scan resolution” on page 81 for instructions.
9. Click Preview to preview your image(s). The Preview window appears and displays your
image(s). See “Previewing and adjusting the scan area” on page 83 for instructions.
10. Click the arrow to open the Target Size list to select the size you want for the scanned image(s), if
necessary. You can scan your images at their original size, or you can reduce or enlarge their size by
selecting Target Size. See “Selecting the scan size” on page 96 for instructions.
11. Modify the image quality, if necessary. See “Adjusting the color and other image settings” on page
12. Click Scan.
What happens next depends on how you started your scan. See “Finishing the scan” on page 101 for
instructions.
Scanning in Professional Mode using the Auto Document Feeder
1. Load the first page of your documents in the Auto Document Feeder. See “Setting Your Originals”
2. Start Epson Scan. See “Starting Epson Scan” on page 68 for instructions.
3. Select Professional Mode in the Mode list. See “Changing the scan mode” on page 69 for
instructions.
4. Click the arrow to open the Document Type list and select Reflective.
5. Select one of these settings as the Document Source setting.
❏ ADF - Single-sided: Select this setting when you use the Auto Document Feeder to load your
documents and scan only one side of your document pages.
❏ ADF - Double-sided: Select this setting when using the Auto Document Feeder to load your
documents and automatically scan both sides of your document pages.
6. Click the arrow to open the Auto Exposure Type list and select Document.
7. Click the arrow to open the Image Type list and select the detailed image type you are scanning.
