An error occurred in the scanner unit. Turn off the printer, wait several minutes and then turn it on
again.
Scanner Lamp Error
An error occurred in the scanner’s carriage. Turn off the printer, wait several minutes and then turn it
on again. If the error occurs again, contact your dealer or a qualified customer support person for
assistance.
Scanner Lock Error
Set the transportation lock to the unlocked position, and then turn on the printer. If the error occurs
again, contact your dealer or a qualified customer support person for assistance.
Searching Files
The printer is searching files in the USB memory.
Select A4, A5, LT or LGL paper
You started layout copying while the paper loaded in the specified paper source is other than A4, A5,
LT, or LGL size. Replace the loaded paper with the correct size paper.
Select Other Paper Size
Replace the loaded paper with the correct size paper.
Service Req Cffff/Service Req Eggg/Service Req Xffff
A controller error or a print engine error has been detected. Turn off the printer. Wait at least 5
seconds, then turn it back on. If the error message still appears, write down the error number listed in
the LCD panel (Cffff/Eggg/Xffff), turn off the printer, unplug the power cord, then contact a
qualified service representative.
Sleep
The printer is currently in power-save mode. This mode is canceled when the printer receives job data
or the Power Saving button is pressed.
