Backup and recovery strategies
There are three partitions on the K2 Media Client system drive to support backup and
recovery strategies as follows:
• The C: drive is for the Windows operating system and applications.
• The D: drive is for media file system (SNFS) metadata files and media database
data files. This allows you to restore the Windows operating system yet keep your
media metadata intact.
• The E: drive is for storing a system image of the other partitions. From the E: drive
you can restore images to the C: and D: drives. When you receive your K2 Media
Client from the factory, the default factory image is stored on the E: drive.
For more information on backup and recovery strategies, see the K2 Media Client
Service Manual.
