Working with Schedules
Adding a primary event to a schedule
You have two ways that you can add primary events to the schedule. By using the Append
Event button, you can add the events to the end of the schedule. By using the Insert Event
button, you can add the event anywhere inside the schedule.
To add an event to the schedule:
1 In the top menu, click Schedule Edit.
2 In the left pane, click the schedule you want to edit.
3 Depending on where you want the event added, choose one of the following:
• To add the event to the end of the schedule, click Append Event.
• To add an event inside a schedule, in the schedule grid click the media file below
which you want to insert the event and click Insert Event.
4 Click one of the following:

Adds a digital video (MXF file) as a
primary event to the schedule.
To choose the media file:
1 Perform a search using one of
the following:
• In the
Search Any
field in the
Select Media
dialog box, type
the keywords that will identify
the file. Keywords can be part of
the name of the file you are
searching for or other metadata
associated with the file when it
was registered as an asset.
• In the
Begins With
field, type the
beginning of the file name you
are searching for to display only
the files containing those
characters in the beginning of
their filename.
2 In the list of results, click the
desired file.
3 Click

Live
Adds a placeholder as a primary
event to the schedule for a live
feed supplied through the SDI A or
SDI B port on the SSP-3801 card
associated to the channel’s device
(default: SDI A).
To choose the port for the live
feed:
1 In the schedule grid, click the
Live event you created.
2 In the
Event Details
pane, click
the
Details 1
tab.
3 Under
Physical input
, select
the SDI port for the live feed. Click:

: to use the SDI A port

B
: to use the SDI B port
4 Click
Update Event
