Editing schedules

The Schedule Edit page is a three pane interface that allows you to build and edit
schedules. The left pane contains the list of existing schedules, which can be shown or
hidden by clicking the

button. The middle pane is a schedule grid in which you add or

edit the primary and secondary events. The right pane displays the details of an event
selected in the schedule grid.

Fig. 5-1: Example of the Schedule Edit page

The timecodes displayed in the Schedule Edit page are determined by the channel type
selected in the Channel Types list below the schedule grid. Schedules are not assigned a
channel type. The selected channel type is only used as a means to display the timecodes.
Although schedules are not assigned a timebase (frame rate), a schedule created or edited
in a particular timebase may produce unexpected results if viewed or played out in another
timebase. GV STRATUS Playout does not perform checks to ensure that the schedule, assets,
and channel are in the same timebase.

If a warning icon

appears in the schedule grid, it indicates an issue with the event. To

view the cause of the warning, hover your cursor over the warning icon. You can also click

Note:

Drop-frame timecodes use a semi-colon as a separator between the

seconds and the frames (01:00:00;00) while non-drop frame timecodes use a
colon (01:00:00:00) as a separator. Incorrect drop-frame timecodes are
automatically rounded up to the next valid drop-frame timecode value; for
example, 00:01:00;00 would be rounded up to 00:01:00;02.
