17 – Messages
The following is a list of messages that the HS-2000 shows in pop-up windows under certain circumstances. Refer to this list
to learn more about the messages and how to respond to them.
The first messages in the list have contents that vary depending on the situation. The subsequent messages are listed in
alphabetical order.

MM DEVICE ERROR The medium cannot be recognized. MM = CF1, CF2 or USB Memory
MM Format failed An error occurred during formatting, and formatting could not be completed. MM = CF1, CF2 or USB Memory
MM has no projects.
Please create a project.
The CF card does not have any projects. MM = CF1 or CF2
MM is not available That medium is not available. MM = CF1, CF2 or USB Memory
MM is not usable You cannot copy. MM = CF1, CF2 or USB Memory
MM MEDIUM ERROR The unit failed to read the medium. MM = CF1, CF2 or USB Memory
MM formatting not optimal for
Recording. Since the CF card was not formatted in this unit, proper recording and playback
operations cannot be guaranteed. You should reformat the card.
MM = CF1 or CF2
This appears when recording is started to a
card that is formatted with a cluster size that is
smaller than the standard of this unit.
MM formatting not optimal
for Recording/Search.

Since the CF card was not formatted in this unit, proper recording and search
operations cannot be guaranteed. You should reformat the card.

This appears when a card that is formatted with
a cluster size that is smaller than the standard
of this unit is loaded.
MM Read Error An error occurred when reading the medium. MM = CF1, CF2 or USB Memory
MM to MM' Copy failed. Copying all data from the first medium to the other was not possible.
