11 – Internal settings
Managing media (MEDIA
MANAGE)
You can select, copy and format CF cards and USB flash
memory.
CAUTION
If you use any of the FORMAT commands, all the data
on that media will be erased. Likewise, the COPY
commands erase all the data on the destination media
before copying. Execute these commands only if you are
absolutely certain that you want to erase the media.
CURRENT MEDIA
This shows the currently selected media and its status.
MEDIA SELECT
This opens the
MEDIA SELECT
screen where you
can set the media used for recording and playback.
CF FORMAT
Use to format the selected CF card.
QUICK button
This only formats CF card management
information.
FULL button This formats the entire CF card.
QUICK &
Create Project button
After formatting only the CF card
management information, a new
project is automatically created with
the same settings as the current
project.
USB FORMAT
Use to format USB flash memory.
QUICK button
This only formats USB memory
management information.
FULL button This formats the entire USB memory.
MEDIA COPY
This copies the contents of one media to another.
CF1wCF2/
CF2wCF1
This copies the entire contents of the
first CF card to the second CF card.
CF1wUSB/
CF2wUSB
This copies the entire contents of
the selected CF card to the USB flash
memory.
USBwCF1/
USBwCF2
This copies the entire contents of the
USB flash memory to the selected CF
card.
Selecting the operation mode
(OPERATION MODE)
Set the unit’s operation mode on this screen.
After selecting the operation mode, touch the
SET
button to enable it and open the Home Screen for that
mode. See "6 – Operation Modes" on page 46.
TIMELINE MODE
Select and touch
SET
to activate timeline mode and
open its Home Screen.
TAKE MODE
Select and touch
SET
to activate take mode and open
its Home Screen.
PLAYLIST MODE
Select and touch SET to activate playlist mode and
open its Home Screen.
ON AIR MODE
Select and touch
SET
to activate on-air mode and
open its Home Screen.
