Mirror (set, but recording

not possible* or Mirror

recording disabled**)

*Conditions that make recording impossible:

The space remaining on the current CF card is insuffi-

cient.

The currently selected CF card is not mounted.

The CF card set as the current media is not a

compatible media type (PIO mode).

The format of the current CF card is not compatible (not

FAT16 or FAT32).

A CF card already has a take with a name that matches

the NEXT TAKE NAME setting and is numbered
999. (“----” is shown for the number on the NEXT TAKE

NAME screen.)

The total number of entries in the current folders

of both CF cards (total numbers of files and folders)

exceeds the system limitation.

Recording/Editing has been repeated in timeline

mode, and there is not enough memory available for

managing region and editing history, so recording

cannot be performed. ("RecLimit" appears in the CF

card remaining space display button.)

**Conditions that disable mirror recording

The remaining space on the mirroring (not currently

selected) CF card is insufficient. (Recording is also

impossible if the remaining space on the currently

selected CF card is exhausted*)

The mirroring CF card is not mounted. (Recording is

also impossible if the currently selected CF card is not

mounted.*)

The mirroring CF card is not compatible media

type. (PIO mode) (Recording is also impossible if the

currently selected CF card is not compatible.*)

The mirroring CF card format is not compatible (not

FAT16 or FAT32). (Recording is also impossible if the

currently selected CF card format is not compatible.*)

The CF card is not compatible with UDMA.

One or both of the CF cards has not been formatted by

this unit (not formatted with the recommended cluster

size).

If any of the above conditions applies, mirror recording will not

e

occur, but recording to the current media will proceed.

NOTE

If set to Mirror, a project/folder identical to the current

project/folder of the current CF card is created on the

mirroring CF card.

If you start recording when set to Mirror, takes with the

same name are recorded into the matching project/

folder on both CF cards.

If you retake when set to Mirror, only the take on the

current CF card is deleted. The take on the mirroring

CF card is not deleted.

When set to Mirror, if the current CF card cannot

be recorded to, recording is impossible, even if the

mirroring CF card has space available.

When mirror recording, if the time counter display

mode is TOTAL REMAIN, the remaining recordable

time for the CF card with the least remaining space is

shown. If one of the CF cards runs out of space during

mirror recording, the remaining recordable time for

the CF card that continues recording is shown.
