Connecting to PC via USB
Connect to a PC or other device to transfer data or access
data on handset SD Card from PC.
Cable Cautions
Do not forcefully pull or twist cables. May break wires.
USB Connection
Exchange data with a PC by the following methods (modes).
Mode Description
MTP mode Transfer files between SD Card and PC.
PTP mode
Transfer files between SD Card and PC.
Use if the PC does not support MTP.
Card reader
mode Connect handset SD Card to a PC as a
removable disk.
Transferring Data between Handset SD
Card and PC (MTP mode)
Connect handset to a PC with Micro USB Cable [SHDDL1]
(optional accessory).
Insert Micro USB plug of Micro USB Cable into External Device
Port
・Insert Micro USB plug in correct orientation; otherwise,
External device Port may be damaged. Check contours and
orientation of Micro USB plug before inserting it.
Insert USB plug of Micro USB Cable into PC USB port
・If confirmation appears, follow onscreen prompts.
Drag Status Bar down for Notifications Window
Notifications Window opens.
Check that Connect by MTP mode appears
Once handset is recognized (MTP device), files can be
transferred.
・If connected by another mode, in Notifications Window, Tap
Connect by PTP mode / Connect by card reader mode and
then MTP mode .
・When completed, remove Micro USB Cable from handset and
PC.
