Descent Rate : The descent rate is in feet per minute. The
default is 500 feet per minute. Select the Descent Rate field
to use the numeric entry keyboard to insert a different value.
In order to calculate the correct point, the following parameters are
assumed: 1) The rate of descent is constant during the descent. 2)
The groundspeed is constant during the descent.
The descent profile is shown in the following diagrams.

The TOD functionality is only available when navigating a
Flight Plan or Direct-To.
•
The descent target is in the active flight plan or the Direct To
destination.
•
The target altitude is entered any time prior to reaching the
target waypoint, including on ground prior to the flight.
•
The target altitude is entered as MSL.
