Connection of supply bottles
The supply lines for the regeneration and rinsing solution between the
storage bottles and the peristaltic pump are installed as follows:
1 Prepare supply bottle for H
2
SO
4
• Prepare regeneration solution suited for the desired applica-
tion and separating column (normally 20 mmol/L H
2
SO
4
).
• Fill regeneration solution into supply bottle and label the
bottle.
2 Connect aspirating tubing for H
2
SO
4
• Prepare aspirating tubing 72
72
72
72: Cut a piece of the 6.1803.020
PTFE tubing to the required length (normally ca. 120 cm).
• Insert one end of the aspirating tubing 72
72
72
72 into the regenera-
tion solution storage bottle and tighten it so that the tubing is
firmly held.
• Insert the free end of aspirating tubing 72
72
72
72 into one of the
openings 5
555 of the 790 Personal IC (see Fig. 2) and pull it suf-
ficiently far into the interior.
• Mount a coupling 73
73
73
73 (6.2744.030) to the inlet end of the rear
pump tubing 74
74
74
74.
• Mount a 6.2744.010 Compression fitting at the end of the
aspirating tubing 72
72
72
72 and screw this compression fitting on to
the coupling 73
73
73
73 (see Fig. 15).
3 Prepare supply bottle for H
2
O
• Prepare rinsing solution suited for the desired application and
separating column (normally dist. H
2
O).
• Fill rinsing solution into a supply bottle and label the bottle.
