Floppy disks (commercially
available)
Embroidery patterns stored on floppy disks can be
recalled. For details on storing a pattern, refer to
“Saving Embroidery Patterns” on page 135.
(If the optional floppy disk drive is installed onto
models without a built-in floppy disk drive,
embroidery data from a floppy disk can be opened.)
Note
● Only use 2HD Windows-formatted floppy
disks.

Insert the floppy disk into the machine’s
floppy disk slot.
With the front of the floppy disk facing toward
you, fully insert the disk into the floppy disk
slot on the right side of the operation panel.
Note
● Only insert or remove floppy disks while
appears in the display or while the
embroidery machine is turned off.
● Make sure that the floppy disk is inserted
facing the correct direction, do not insert
the disk with extreme force, and do not
insert any object other than floppy disks
into the slot, otherwise the machine may be
damaged.

The list of patterns appears.
• Normally, it will take 10 to 30 seconds for
the list of patterns to appear.
The more patterns on the floppy disk, the
longer it will take for the list to appear. (It
may even take two minutes or more.) While
the data on the floppy disk is being read, do
not remove the floppy disk from the slot until
the patterns appear on the screen.
Memo
● Folders on the floppy disk cannot be
displayed. Therefore, embroidery data
saved in folders cannot be opened.

Select an embroidery pattern.
Touch the desired pattern.

The selected pattern appears in the pattern
display area.
