Recording on a tape cannot be
performed normally
After recording, the video on the tape
disappeared.
• Before recording, carefully check that there is no
videos on the tape in the output device. If a new
video is recorded, the overwritten part of the original
image is cleared.
When you wish to append video to the existing
video, first find the tape position where you wish to
start recording and select [Record from here]. Or, if
the tape retains no record after the existing video,
select [Record from blank space].
Recorded on the tape in the input device.
• If 2 video devices are connected, always check that
the settings on the input device and the recorder are
correct before recording. If the recorder settings are
changed for some reason in the course of operation,
a recording operation clears important contents of
the tape.
For a tape retaining contents you do not wish to
clear, we recommend placing its accidental erasure
prevention slider in “SAVE”.
When you play recorded video, it is not played
smoothly.
• The operation of recording on a tape uses a very
high percentage of the processing power (load on
the CPU) of the personal computer.
So, when software other than MotionDV STUDIO is
running, the video sometimes cannot be recorded
well.
When using MotionDV STUDIO, we recommend to
close other software.
